Capannelle
The history of Capannelle started in 1974 when the businessman Raffaele Rossetti moved to a 16th century Villa surrounded by 10.5 hectares of land in Gaiole in Chianti, homeland to Chianti Classico. After a deep analysis of the area and soil, a new vineyard of 3.5 hectares was planted using only local grapes such as Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino and Malvasia while two more hectares were planted with olive trees.
