La Escondida is and organic artisanal mezcal roasted, fermented and distilled by hand and with passion. It gets its aroma from the local soil and is always ready to impress people around the world. Grand Mezcal uses 100% agave Espadin, one of the most prized agave varieties grown in the heartland of Oaxaca, to make La Escondida. Agave plants are cut and pulled from the soil by hand when they are 7 to 10 years of age. This process yields a highly complex distilled beverage: it produces earthy, smoky notes on the nose, while its smooth and balanced flavor, robustly absorbed from cooked agave, provides a long finish which is both strong and agreeable.
