Arvanitidis Estate
The Arvanitidis Estate was created in 1999, by the agronomist Thanasis Arvanitidis and his brother Giorgos. Combining the deep love for the vine with knowhow and the use of new, innovative techniques in winemaking, they produce wines that reflect the potential of indigenous Greek varieties as well as the proper adaption of cosmopolitan ones to the region’s terroir. Today, the area of privately owned vineyards has reached 50 acres, while there is the prospect of systematic expansion, with the main motivation being to cover production, exclusively from privately owned vines, so that the quality of the raw material is always controlled. The production of the winery’s wines takes place in the small, fully equipped building, on the family estate with fruit trees, fir trees, flowers, etc. on the edge of Askos. The building has separate areas for vinification and aging of the wines in oak barrels. Wines with formality and consistent quality in every vintage that fascinate the modern consumer.
